How Ship Utah Came to Be

Ship Utah has been independently owned and operated since 2024 — but the story of how we got here is a little different from most business acquisitions.

Anthony walked into what was then called The Packaging Store one day with a simple goal: ask the owner some questions about the shipping and private mail center industry. He saw an industry he believed in — after all, everyone ships something — but more than that, he saw an industry that was ready for fresh thinking. Younger ideas. Better technology. A higher standard of customer experience. The owner, recognizing someone with genuine passion for the business, offered to sell. Anthony and his business partner Dominick said yes.

Two years later Ship Utah is a fundamentally different business — and we're just getting started.

More Than a Shipping Store

Ship Utah is the most complete shipping, packing, printing, and business services center in the Holladay area. We work with every major carrier — DHL, FedEx, UPS, and USPS — and we pack virtually anything to virtually anywhere. But what truly sets us apart isn't the services we offer. It's how we deliver them.

Anthony brings a background as a multi-business entrepreneur and founder of a successful consulting company serving the independent shipping store and private mail center industry nationwide. That expertise — combined with Dominick's operational excellence and a team that genuinely cares — means our customers get the benefit of industry-leading knowledge in a local, personal environment that no big-box shipping store can replicate.

Building Something Bigger

In addition to running Ship Utah's flagship store in Holladay, Anthony has opened three DHL Express Service Points — in Taylorsville UT, Concord CA, and Denver CO — with plans to open many more across the region. Ship Utah is not just a local store. It's the foundation of a growing network of shipping service locations committed to the same standard of excellence in every market we enter.

What "Super-Star Customer Care" Actually Means

We use the phrase Super-Star Customer care — but what does that actually look like in practice? It means we follow up on your shipments. It means our packing record is spotless — in two years of operation we have never had a shipment damaged due to substandard packing. It means we do whatever it takes to get your shipment where it needs to be.

And sometimes "whatever it takes" is extraordinary. When a shipment of custom artwork was running late for delivery to a charity auction at Mar-A-Lago — a shipment that required Secret Service inspection of each individual piece — Anthony flew to Missouri, picked up the artwork personally, and drove it straight through to Florida to ensure it arrived on time. That's not a shipping policy. That's a commitment.

We don't expect every shipment to require that level of response. But every customer deserves to know that level of commitment is there.

The People Behind Ship Utah

Ship Utah's team brings together expertise, warmth, and a genuine love of what they do:

Anthony — co-owner, industry consultant, entrepreneur, and the guy who will fly across the country to make sure your shipment arrives on time.

Dominick — co-owner and the operational backbone of Ship Utah. Dominick's knowledge of the shipping industry and commitment to the customer experience is second to none.

Samantha — a key member of our shipping and customer service team. Samantha brings energy, expertise, and a friendly face to every customer interaction. As well as a lot of behind the scenes action, the stuff nobody sees.

Lesly — rounding out our exceptional team, Lesly contributes her hard work and positive attitude to making every visit to Ship Utah a great one. Lesly is also the Lead Associate, supporting all of our DHL employees accross all of our stores. If you have an international questions, talk to Lesly.

Lilly — our print specialist and in-house graphic designer. Lilly holds a degree in graphic design and heads Ship Utah's growing print program — from business cards to large format banners to complete brand identity work.

Cici — another valued member of our team, bringing her skills and dedication to every shipment and customer interaction at Ship Utah.

Murphy — Ship Utah's official shop dog, Chief Morale and Barketing Officer, and honestly the reason a significant number of our customers keep coming back. Murphy doesn't ship packages but he makes the whole experience better. Come meet him.
